THE FIG TREE and Emma Brown picking figs.
Hello friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. It was a pleasure to receive so many emails from you last week. Thank you so much as it is great to hear from you.

In my last article I was talking about the wonderful cherries I picked that led me into thinking how I felt like Adam in the garden of Eden.

This week my wife Emma is looking at our fig tree I planted 6 years ago. She was hoping to pick the lovely figs Jesus talked about in Matthew 24:32-35. Mark 13:28-31. Luke 21:29-33.

I find it interesting that Jesus talked and referenced the fig tree more than any other tree.
I did not realise how many times Jesus referenced the fig tree, including
Cursing the fig tree in Mark 11:12-14 and 11:20-25 and Matthew 21:18-22
But when going to pick the figs Emma found the figs were not ready to pick. Is Jesus telling us He is about to return? As in the parable of Matthew 24:32-35. we find Jesus saying there are only leaves, but no figs.
On our fig tree we have leaves and figs. However our figs are not ready. Is Jesus telling us to get ready for His return? One thing is for sure. We are to keep praying, watching, and expecting Jesus at any time, so we will not be like the 5 foolish virgins, being half the church in Matthew 25:1. Who were not keeping watch and were not ready and were left behind.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matthew 24:42.
Being ready now, is expecting Him at any time, is obeying what Jesus command us to do, for when He does arrive which means we will not be caught of guard.
I am sad to know so many Christians who are more interested in the things of this life, rather than the things of God. They seem to put Jesus after the material things. I know so many Christians who want Jesus on the phone, but not on the throne. When I say to them I believe Jesus is coming very soon, they often tell me how late it is, and it is time for them to go home.
Why did Jesus teach so many times about being ready. Because He already knew half the church would not be ready.
We do not know the day or hour when Jesus will return, but by this parable of the Fig Tree. Jesus expects his disciples to read the signs of the times. And nearly (ALL) the signs of Jesus returning are here.
Lets pray we will all be ready for the next greatest day in world history.
We are Simon and Emma Brown. We hope to see you soon in paradise. Amen.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Matthew 24:32 - 35.
Luke presents this parable as eschatological in nature: like the leaves of the fig tree, the signs spoken of in the Olivet discourse of Luke 21:5-28  indicate the coming of the
 Kingdom of God.
An alternate interpretation is that the fig tree represents the nation of Israel being politically reestablished in their land once again. Accordingly, when the modern state of Israel was formed on May 14, 1948, Hal Lindsey concluded that we are in the last generation. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
It is about me, Simon today picking cherries.
Dear friends please forgive me for not sending you a new article this week. As I wanted to spend the day in my garden and not think about the sad things in this world.

I report to you with something quite different. Today I spent the afternoon in my garden of Eden looking at God's amazing fruit.

My wife loves God's flowers. But I prefer God's fruit, because we can't eat flowers, well thats up to you.
But we can eat as much fruit as we like and never get fat.

Yes the photo above is me you see in our garden at 6 pm UK time, today picking cherries from our tree. What an amazing God we have who makes such lovely tasty cherries from a little seed.

I felt like Adam in the garden of Eden picking and eating the lovely sweet cherries.
Simon Brown.

Sadly as we all know Adam and Eve ended up eating from the forbidden tree and here we are to day, trapped in bondage.

Thank God for Jesus who reversed the course of Adam and conquered Satan and death at the cross.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Genesis 3:15
Here is the first ever recorded prophecy of Jesus hitting the snake (Satan) on the head. Meaning Jesus would be born from a woman (Mary)
As Satan used the woman to bring down the Human race. God would use the woman to bring in the saviour of the world Jesus Christ who would severely  bruise and defeat Satan at the cross.     Jesus on the cross.

Yet again another prophecy of Jesus was fulfilled.
Jesus you are the King of Kings. Amen.
May God bless you all and please look out for my next article next week.

Give your life to Jesus.
